Jay grew up in Michigan, learning Midwest values of always doing the right thing for people. His Journey to Texas brought him through Indiana, Florida, with his last stop five years ago here in San Antonio. Most of Jay’s career was spent in the Building Supply business, as he spent his last 15 years with the Pella Window Corporation as Regional Sales Manager. Jay traveled the western US helping distributors sell Pella products to professional home builders.
Jay raised 4 children in Florida and his oldest daughter works with him every day in the insurance office. The oldest son sadly passed away in Tennessee a year ago, but he left a small son that now also lives in San Antonio with his mother. Besides those two children, one son attends college in Tennessee, and another is a student at Steele High School. Jay’s wife, Gigi, is a graduate of Churchill and Trinity University, and in addition to being licensed to sell insurance, Gigi has been the school nurse at Reagan High School since they opened.
The office of Franklin Insurance Group opened on the corner of Stone Oak and Huebner in 2019. Allstate has been a perfect fit for Jay Franklin and his team.
